Equipped with two probes, the sensor measures the volumetric water content in the soil. As moisture levels change, so does the soil’s electrical conductivity. When the soil is dry, it exhibits higher electrical resistance, resulting in a high-level output from the module. Conversely, when the soil is moist, it conducts electricity more efficiently, leading to a low-level output. This functionality enables precise measurement and monitoring of moisture levels, ensuring timely watering when necessary.
